Psychosexual Therapy
Psychosexual therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore concerns around intimacy, sexuality and relationships. People seek this type of therapy for many different reasons including difficulties with sexual functioning, changes in desire, anxiety around intimacy or the impact of life events on their sexual wellbeing.
When Psychosexual Therapy might help
People seek Psychosexual Therapy for many different reasons. These may include:
-
Loss of sexual desire
-
Difficulties with arousal or orgasm
-
Erectile difficulties
-
Pain during sex
-
Anxiety or lack of confidence around intimacy
-
Differences in sexual desire within a relationship

These concerns are often more common than people realise and therapy can provide a supportive space to understand them.

What to expect
Psychosexual Therapy is primarily a talking therapy. Sessions provide an opportunity to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences relating to intimacy and relationships.

Where appropriate therapy may include suggested exercises or reflections to explore between sessions, designed to help reduce pressure or rebuild confidence over time. Any suggestions are always discussed together and approached at a pace that feels comfortable.

Sessions may take place individually or with partners.

I am currently undertaking specialist training in Psychosexual Therapy. As part of this training my work is supported by regular professional supervision to ensure safe, ethical and effective practice.
Due to my trainee status I am offering reduced session rates.

Talking about sexual concerns can feel difficult but therapy provides a confidential and respectful space where these topics can be discussed openly.
My approach is non-judgemental and sensitive to individual experiences, values and backgrounds.
